Extra Energy?

     We are almost to the point that energy can be manipulated into different forms. For example, transmission of electricity could be accomplished simply by turning solar energy into microwave energy and beaming it back to the mainland in a steady stream that then can be translated back into electricity. Of course, it will work! You might not get a hundred per cent because some of it would be heat but I imagine with just a little tweaking.....

     What about giant magnifying lenses that concentrate light into heat? I know you can boil water like that and if you can boil water then you can produce steam which could turn a steam generator to produce electricity. Or solar reflectors aimed at a water tower? In the desert you'd get an amazing return on steam.
         Instead of fretting over a charging station, why not put a generating station on all gasoline powered cars so the mechanical energy generate can be converted into electricity.Yes, that's been done already but not in a grand way. More powerful alternators could charge electric cars anywhere.  This is a great idea for the EV trade.
